It’s all about fun. Seaside postcards and joke shop aesthetics. Fairground art and comic book style. Mad 60’s advertising and lacklustre British TV shows. Visual junk food. Combat comic icons and cutesy video game graphics. Illustrated action-packed stories that don’t really go anywhere. Seductive ice cream colours and retro vibe. I love the a creative buzz I get from taking images and characters from my overactive, teenage imagination and dropping them behind enemy lines and watch them do battle. Mostly they just potter around. Prepare yourself. Now is the time to dive into a strange world of undynamic heroes and colourful, quirky characters as they navigate a landscape of the surreal. Here’s the true story of… Dennis Elbow.
Dennis Elbow is currently the Director of the Museum of Shouting.
